We Love Visitors
. . . and we just said good-bye to our first non-paying guests of the summer. After months of trying to tempt you all with my not-so-subtle hints of open invitation, we finally got some takers. My girlfriend, Marlene (see previous Green House Reunion entry,) her husband Chad, and their two children, Chad, Jr. & Vinny came for
a 3-night visit. We had 3 days open on our rental schedule and it just happened to be the same week that Chad had taken his vacation. They arrived Monday night and left after dinner on tonight, Thursday. During their stay we took them to the Union Fair/Blueberry festival, hung out at the beach and in the backyard, and even enjoyed a relaxing lobster dinner at home (mainly because we were smart enough to put all the kids to bed BEFORE we sat down with our dinner.) The kids had a blast playing together. Wesley loved baby Vinny. Chad, Jr. loved all of Wesley an
d Preston's toys. Vinny was just happy all the time. And Preston met the challenge of sharing both his "Bubba" and his toys all at the same time (okay, so there were a few difficult moments.) It was a fun dynamic. I especially enjoyed the adult conversation (even if we were talking mainly kids and politics) and just having the chance to spend time with our friends. Thanks for coming Zannotti Family - we hope you'll be coming back soon.
