Pumpkin picking
This afternoon, we spent almost two hours at the Miller Farm pumpkin patch - a yearly tradition, now in our fourth year. We found this treasure when Wesley wa
s one. We happened to take the back road home from church one afternoon and discovered this beautiful little farm, in this picturesque setting advertising pick-your-own pumpkins, hayrides, a horse to feed, and lots of fall goodies to purchase. We went twice that year and have made it a part of our annual fall festivities every year since. This, of course, was Preston's first year at the pumpkin patch, and I think that it is safe to say, that he had a great time. He had his first hay ride, spend
ing most of it chomping on an apple picked for him by Farmer Miller. Then we all hiked over to this year's picking patch to find our big Jack-O-Lantern pumpkins for the year. Preston got to ride in the wagon back to the barn and Wesley got to help Daddy pull it. Then we tried to att
ract the attention of Champ, the horse, who wasn't that friendly because it was his first day there (they borrow him every year for the kids.) We picked out gourds and a few fall decorations to take with us. And I, of course, snapped about a hundred pictures of the kids with the piles of pumpkins. The weather was perfect and the sun was sooooooo bright - it was just perfect.

We love the pumpkin patch photos . . . thanks for updating us on Wesley and Preston's adventures.
And you, mom, need to take more time to enjoy those precious boys before they're all grown up.
notice the man you're married too -- he was a cute little boy once upon a time too -- and I wish I'd spent even more time with him and his siblings. The heck with the housekeeping -- it'll be there tomorrow!!
love to all -- Gramma and Grampa Georgie
