Our Spring Routine

After a week of school vacation, we are now happy to be back to our normal weekly routine. However, there are a few things that have changed. Wesley is still in swim class, but he has moved up a level (from Pike 1 to Pike 2) and instead of Friday afternoons, he swims on Wednesday afternoons. He's come leaps and bounds since his first lesson. I'm most impressed with his ability to float on his back and his gradually decreasing fear of jumping into the pool. But he's not the only Henderson boy in swim class this session. I also signed Preston up for the Parent-Child class on Saturday mornings. We just had our first class this morning and I had no idea what to expect, but was very pleasantly surprised. If you are at all familiar with what happens at a library storytime, well picture that, only in water and with less books. We sang a lot of songs, did a lot of repetition and movement, and played with toys. It was actually a lot of fun, and Preston seemed to enjoy it. We've really been putting our "Y" membership to good use and the boys just love the pool. It is especially nice on the rainy days; we've had a few heavy ones recently. And it keeps us busy.
