With Wesley back in school 3 mornings (and one afternoon) a week, the autumn has flown by fairly quickly. In September Wesley signed up for another session of swim lessons, but when that session ended, he decided he wanted to take a break for a few months and try something else. This time around he chose Rock Climbing. Our YMCA has a really great climbing wall and they give lessons each session to just a handful of kids. Luckily we made it into the class (which only runs for 4 weeks.) I thought it would be the perfect class for my little climber and he was pretty psyched about it. Unfortunately, we soon discovered that Wesley has a slight fear of heights - did not see that coming as he usually climbs on anything that stands still. We did make the most of it though. He was great at traversing and eventually worked his way up, almost 3/4 of the way to the top, which was a huge accomplishment considering he only went up 7 feet on his first climb. Here are some of the pictures from that big climb.
