When in Pittsburgh . . .

There is a lot to do in Pittsburgh. I mean, a lot! We aren't used to that. On the coast of Maine, most of our activities fall during the summer season (aka May - October.) During the winter, we mostly have to make our own fun . . . and we do, but with a lot of effort, planning, and travel. When in Pittsburgh, we can be at any number of cultural opportunities within minutes, which makes our winter visits fill up in no time. This winter we visited the Pittsburgh Zoo & Aquarium (the baby elephants were the best), the Carnegie Museum of Natural History (we loved the new T-Rex exhibit), the Pittsburgh Children's Museum (with a great exhibit in honor of hometown boy, Fred Rogers,) Chuck E. Cheese's (where not only kids, but adults too, can be kids), the Christmas Lights of Heartwood Acres (so incredible - I can only imagine the electric bill), and we even drove into downtown a few times to see the holiday sights. All this, coupled with our time spent with Steve's family, made the time just fly by. Here is a slideshow of some of the highpoints. Enjoy!
