St. Nicholas Day
Did you leave out your shoes? We did. And this morning they we
re filled with goodies left for us by St. Nicholas This is a tradition we inherited from Steve's family, and one that we are happy to pass on to our own family. It makes for a nice start to the gift-giving season and is usually about the time we get the decorations in place. There are usually just a few s
mall gifts in each shoe, but enough to get you excited. Preston wasn't sure what it was all about, but knew that it was definitely a good thing - especially when he found his little bag of cookies. He also really liked his chapstick. Wesley was psyched about the chocolate santa pop and "Mater" gloves he got, though because it was a school morning, he had to wait until the afternoon to eat it. Even Mom and Dad get little gifts - I got a scratch ticket and some jelly candies, Steve got some Twinings tea and a chocolate bar. Who says it's just for the kids?
